FAQs

Q: Will there be a supply of bananas, oranges, water & other snacks at the finish?
A: Yes, we want to make sure if you are riding back or just hanging out you get fueled back up.

Q: Is there a shuttle service back to the start lines?
A: Currently there is no shuttle service in place. We are looking into other solutions.

Q: Is there a route to get back to the San Jose Start?
A: Yes, the route back does not involve riding backwards on the course. The route is a nice 42 miles.
View the Route. Note: Route sheets will be available at both the start line and finish line.

Q: Is there a neutral water along the course?
A: Yes, at approx mile 26, SJBC has a Neutral Water Zone set up. Toss your empty at the start of the water zone then pick up a new one.

Q: Are the water bottles recycled from another race?
A: No, you will be receiving a brand new water bottle. Water from the tap, not some garden hose.

Q: Will the feed zone have neutral water?
A: Not really, we have placed 2 guys from SJBC out there to hand water to our team, but with 100 water bottles and only 10 in the race, chances are that we'll have a few extra.

Q: Can team cars follow the field?
A: No, team cars are not allowed in between the fields. If a car is seen supporting a rider, they will be immediately DQ.

Q: I took a place but since I'm riding back to the start line, can I pick up my prize(s) at the Criterium?
A: Yes, we will take your prize(s) to the Criterium.
