Winter Series Rules
All events are conducted on open courses with vehicle traffic. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST OBEY THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE AT ALL TIMES.

Helmets are required anytime you are on the roadway before, during and after the event.

In accordance with California Vehicle Code, ear buds and headphones are not allowed. If you are seen wearing them by either the Winter Series staff or volunteers, you will be disqualified for that day's event and no points will be awarded.

A FALSE START will result in a 10 second penalty plus the number of seconds the rider false starts, so if a rider goes off two seconds early, they can expect a 12 second penalty.

Take Highway 101 South and exit at Bailey Ave
Head west on Bailey Ave
Turn left on McKean Rd
Continue onto Uvas Rd (at Oak Glen) Follow road around the Uvas reservoir to the parking lot (approx. 5 miles on the left)

The first event is a 7.7 mile 'Merkx' style time trial that goes from the parking lot on the west side of the Uvas Reservoir to the parking lot on the east side of the Chesbro Reservoir.

The second event is a 2-lap road race on the same course as our normal road race events (around the Uvas Reservoir). Also starts at the same parking lot.

» No Aero Equipment allowed in this event. Leave the Aero Helmets, Disc Wheels and TT bars at home. Deepest wheels allowed will be 50 mm profile, equivalent to a RaceRim 50.

» All riders will receive 10 points for each event (20 points total). Points will be awarded to the following competitions: Overall Champion, Time Trial Champion as well as the Junior & Women Trophy if you fall under one of these categories. No category points will be awarded for this event. You must ride this event to be eligible for the Scratch Trophy.

» Preliminary category placements will be determined by this event.
