Group Responsibility
Any group about to be passed MUST neutralize. "Neutralize" means that the group being passed must move over to the right as safety permits and must slow down allowing all members of the passing group to safely get by. If you start with the A's and get dropped, you can ride with the B's or C's but you are just a passenger, you cannot contest for the final sprint. Same applies if you start with the B's. If you start with the A's and get dropped, you can rejoin them but you can only ride towards the back of the group.

MONTHLY MERCHANDISE AWARDS

Our Club Sponsorship Coordinator, Clark Foy, proactively sought these Merchandise Awards for our club events while obtaining sponsorships for 2009.

Here's how it will work

Each week the SJBC board members that are present along with a couple of volunteers will note the riders who are demonstrating sportsmanship, courage and group participation.

Q: Courage, can you explain that one?
A: Courage are those who ride off the front and stay out there lap after lap or someone who works to chase down the breaks.

Q: Will the rider finishing first get an automatic nomination?
