Winter Series Banquet - February 9th @ 7:00pm

The 2016 Winter Series Banquet is this Thursday, February 9th at 6:30pm at Emperor Norton's Pizza in south San Jose (same shopping center as where the 'B' club ride starts).

We will be congratulating the 2016 winners by giving out trophies, champions jerseys, and prizes. There will be pizza and some salad available but we will need to get an idea of how many are going in order to get an idea of how much pizza to order. Please RSVP to ws@teamsanjose.org if you are planning to attend.

All club members are welcome to attend!

Race Team Recruitment rides - October 22nd and 29th!!

The San Jose Bicycle Race Team is recruiting for new racers across all fields from juniors to masters, on both the Women's and Men's teams. We specialize in Junior and masters fields, but our elite group is growing as is our Women's team.

Come join us on Saturday October 29th at Mikes Bikes in Los Gatos at 9:00am for a nice bike ride. We'll ride at a conversational pace on the flats and a faster pace on the climbs (with regroups at the top). Here is the route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/17038489.

The Women's team will also hold a Women's specific recruitment ride on Saturday October 22nd at 8:45am at McKenzie Park located on Fremont Ave at Foothill/Springer. Ride will be 42 miles with approximately 4,200 ft of climbing. There may be an optional 'B' roll for newer riders (TBD).

Note: For Women that cannot make it to the Women's specific ride, please feel free to join us on the 29th!

If after the ride you are interested in joining the team please fill out an application here.

Riders looking to join the team must have 7 prior USAC races under their belt. Anyone that has not previously competed in a USA Cycling sanctioned race is encouraged to join the club first and race under team 'SJBC' before later joining the team.

See you there!

Road Race #1 - Epic ride in the rain!

RR1

We had a great ride today in the warm rain at Road Race #1. Congratulations to Andy and Marsha for going 1-2 !! They were just too fast for the 1/2/3's to catch!

A HUGE thank you to our volunteers who helped make a challenging environment doable. Thank you to Alan, Thomas, Victor, Peter, Brian, and Rob for driving the follow car.

See you next week at Criterium #2!
