About the Winter Series

The 2025 Winter Series is composed of 4 events including an Individual Time Trial, a Hill Climb, a Road Race, and a Criterium.

There will be awards given out.

Winter Series Events: Open to members and nonmembers. Events must be paid for in person at each event, cash only. Membership must be purchased online. We appreciate your understanding.

2025 Adult Membership (good through 2026 when purchased after 1 October 2025): $53.00 : Sign up Online.
2025 Junior Membership (good through 2026 when purchased after 1 October 2025): $10.00 : Sign up Online.

Individual Event - Adult members: $10.00 (Must be current member) Individual Event - Adult non-members: $15.00
Individual Event - Juniors: FREE (Must be current member)

Weather

When the weather looks suspicious, San Jose is notorious for sudden changes to the forecasts. Be sure to check the club Google group email list before heading to the event. All events typically go on when it rains with the exception of the criteriums.

Winter Series Rules

All events are conducted on open courses with vehicle traffic. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST OBEY THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE AT ALL TIMES.

Helmets are required anytime you are on the roadway before, during and after the event.

In accordance with California Vehicle Code, ear buds and headphones are not allowed. If you are seen wearing them by either the Winter Series staff or volunteers, you will be disqualified for that day's event and no points will be awarded.

A FALSE START will result in a 10 second penalty plus the number of seconds the rider false starts, so if a rider goes off two seconds early, they can expect a 12 second penalty.
